IN-PERSON CLASSES
Supportive & knowledgeable teachers
Our classes cover specific subjects with teachers qualified to teach that subject.  Our classes require attendance for credit because we remove all unnecessary information, and pack the necessary information into the remaining time.   

4 Week Classes

Direct Classes

Direct classes are taught for four weeks only.  Each class typically runs twice weekly for a total of 10 hours.  A class can be twice weekly on a Monday & Wednesday or a Tuesday & Thursday.  Some classes run for 45 minutes a day Monday through Thursday.


Attendance Requirement:
You must meet the attendance requirements to receive 0.25 credit to be eligible for the teacher project credit of 0.25 (Total 0.5 credit).

Important for Direct Classes:
Not every class is taught every session, and missed days cannot be made up on next session. Few virtual options. Classes can be offered at any time of day, but the majority of classes are offered late afternoon/early evening hours.
Classes are limited to fifteen people, and it is on a first come, first served basis.

GED Prep/Skills Class Fundamentals

If a student receives a TABE 1 or 2 in math or English, this places them at a Fundamentals level. This means that a student would need to attend a class four times weekly for 1.25 to 2 hours a day for a four week session in the area that they demonstrated skill gaps; math or English. The Fundamentals is the first class in the series of GED Prep.
These students need to attend classes in person to be able to access teacher and ask questions. This class has limited options for time of day offered. 
Upon successful completion, a student can receive up to 0.75 credit toward a credit diploma with this class in the elective area of math or English.


Attendance Requirement:
Can only miss two days to be eligible for credit.

GED Prep/Skills Class Foundations

If a student receives a TABE 3 in either math or English, this places them at a Foundations level. This class is also the next in the series for GED Prep after Fundamentals.  This class runs four times weekly for 1.25 to 2 hours a day for a four week session. This would only be in the area that they demonstrated skill gaps, which is math or English.

This class can be attended virtually, with limited options for time of day. Upon successful completion, a student can receive up to 0.75 credit toward a credit diploma with this class in the elective area of math or English. Foundations math is split into an A/B section.
Attendance Requirement:
Can only miss two days to be eligible for credit.

GED Prep Fast-Track/GED Jam

If a student receives a TABE 4 upon entering adult education, this places them at a Fast-Track level. This course covers all four areas of the GED Exam: English, math, social studies, and science.

This class is designed to be the final step prior to taking the GED, and is next in the series after Foundations. The class is broken into English, math, social studies, and science. We encourage our students to schedule each section of the GED after completing each section of the course.
